We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Leeds United...

Stuart Dallas is unlikely to return for Leeds United against Tottenham Hotspur due to his thigh injury, claims Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert asserts that he’s lacked match sharpness for the entire season due to the abrasion and the medical staff are highly unlikely to green signal his return.

The 32-year-old will not be the only player missing in action as Luis Sinisterra and Tyler Adams will also be unavailable for the game.

This clarification comes after Northern Ireland head coach Michael O’Neill claimed that he could be back in the summer for the Euro qualifiers. [Itv]

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said on Dallas, “He’s been out with a thigh injury and it’s not realistic, in my opinion, that they bring on a player who hasn’t played in over a year in a key, relegation battle, high-intensity match.

“Even if he doesn’t play for Northern Ireland at the end of the season, it does sound like he’s getting closer to returning and could use this summer to really get back to fitness.”

Dallas last featured for Leeds in the 2021/22 campaign against Manchester City and has not been spotted on the playing field since then.

He has, however, made trips with the team during matchdays and has been around for moral support for both club and country.

He was even seen talking to Pep Guardiola ahead of Sam Allardyce’s first game in charge of Leeds in early May which ended up 2-1 in the favour of the Premier League winners.

Leeds need to win their final game of the season and hope that Everton and Leicester do them a favour.

In other Leeds United news, Phil Hay claims that an international player at Elland Road has no place at the club next season and a summer transfer is on the cards.
