Steven Schumacher delivers Leeds United, Leicester City promotion verdict
Leeds United will get promoted to the Premier League this season, according to Stoke City boss Steven Schumacher.
The Whites won 1-0 at home to the Potters on Tuesday after Dan James’ first-half goal.
Daniel Farke’s side now have 10 games left to play as they look to claw themselves out of the Championship.
They are battling it out at the top end of the table with the likes of Leicester City, Ipswich Town and Southampton.
Schumacher has tipped them to make it and has said, as per the Yorkshire Evening Post (5 March): “I think they will get to the Premier League. I think they are good enough, they have got enough individual talent, they have got enough experience and they have got a really good manager who knows how to get it done under pressure moments so I think they will be there.”
When asked about the atmosphere, he said: “It’s huge. It’s probably right up there with the best atmospheres in the country in all of the leagues. It’s brilliant. I love the Leeds fans, it’s class and they do play a huge part in it.”

Leeds have got a manager in Farke who knows what it takes to get out of the second tier. He won the title twice during his time at Norwich City and that experience of getting over the line will come in handy for the Whites over the next couple of months.
The Yorkshire side are finding ways to grind out results and although they have played much better than they did against Stoke last time out, they still managed to get all three points which is all that matters in the end.
They have a lot of depth in their ranks, especially in attacking areas, which is useful to have when the fixtures start to come thick and fast. It is a long old season with 46 games and something you need to freshen things up and give players the chance to rest.

Leeds have a tricky match coming up on Friday against a Sheffield Wednesday side who will be full of confidence. The Owls have won their last four matches on the spin as they look to avoid relegation to League One.
