Steven Gerrad return set as Ally McCoist answers Leeds United query
Ally McCoist feels Steven Gerrard needs to be careful about his next club amid managerial uncertainty at Leeds United.
The former Scotland international has been asked about potential interest from the Whites in the Liverpool icon, but seemed to dismiss those suggestions.
Farke is being backed at Elland Road for now, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see the 49-year-old head coach’s situation change in LS11 soon.
49ers Enterprises looked to be contemplating changing managers at Leeds towards the end of last season, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see that happen in the coming months.

Leeds United have decision to make as Steven Gerrard want managerial return
Gerrard will certainly be raring to get back into the game, McCoist says.
However, after underwhelming stints at Aston Villa and Al-Ettifaq, the Gers legend believes the former England international has to pick the right club for himself.
With Farke facing a tough set of fixtures during the festive period, the situation at Elland Road is surely one to keep an eye on.
Speaking on talkSPORT on 12 November, McCoist said: “People have said to me, would Gerrard be interested perhaps in the Leeds job. You’ve got to appreciate that there’s already somebody in the Leeds job. Big club.”
The Scotsman added: “And I think it’s really important for Gerrard, and I’m sure he will want back into the game, I don’t have any doubt about that, but I think his next appointment is absolutely vital for him.”
Farke could potentially be set for Christmas heartbreak in West Yorkshire, with Aston Villa, Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool up next after the international break.
Steven Gerrard already gives 49ers Enterprises his answer
The 49ers were involved in the decision to sack Russell Martin at Rangers, and Steven Gerrard looked poised to take over before talks seemingly broke down.
With the Liverpool icon having rejected the American owners’ proposal at Ibrox, it wouldn’t be out of the question for him to do the same if Leeds came calling.
Paraag Marathe could’ve avoided this mess had he been proactive at West Yorkshire in the summer, with Farke’s record at Norwich City not painting a pretty picture.
With the Premier League relegation battle congested, Farke has a challenging task on his hands in LS11.
