Stan Collymore predicts scoreline of Leeds United clash v Arsenal

Leeds United will face Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday (16 October) and Stan Collymore has predicted a 4-2 win for the Gunners.

While writing his column for The Sunday People (16 October, page 62), Collymore has suggested that he expects it to be an “entertaining” game.

The Gunners are in terrific form at the moment, and the Whites will have to be on top of the game if they are to pick up something from this fixture.

Collymore wrote: “Entertaining fixture with Arsenal’s run rolling on.”

Big ask?

The Gunners find themselves at the top of the Premier League table at the moment after they defeated Liverpool in their previous fixture.

On the other hand, Leeds have failed to win a game since August. They started the season brightly, but that early spark has evaporated.

The Whites need to regroup and get some points on the table. On their day, they can beat any side, the 3-0 win against Chelsea at Elland Road suggests so.

Arsenal have a strong attacking set-up, and the Whites need to defend extremely well, something they haven’t done recently.

Jesse Marsch’s side are still conceding goals from set-pieces, a problem that surfaced since the time of Marcelo Bielsa. If they do not tighten at the back, the Gunners have the ability to score loads of goals, as predicted by Collymore.

It is definitely not a must-win game, but a home win against the Premier League leaders will give them the required boost to move forward.

In other Leeds United news, a Sky Sports pundit has delivered Jesse Marsch’s “sack” verdict after what he heard this month.
