Stan Collymore predicts outcome of Leeds United clash v Crystal Palace

Leeds United will travel to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Sunday (9 October) and Stan Collymore has predicted a win for the home side.

Writing his column for The Sunday People on 9 October (page 62), the popular football pundit has predicted a 2-0 win for Palace, as he was left unimpressed with Leeds so far.

The Whites are winless in their last four games and only managed a 0-0 draw against Aston Villa in their previous fixture.

Collymore wrote: “I wasn’t impressed with Leeds against Aston Villa, so straightforward for Palace.”

Pressure?

There have been suggestions that Leeds boss Jesse Marsch is under pressure over his job, but that should not be the case.

It was a massive summer transfer window for the Whites and the new players need more time to settle down.

Leeds have done well so far but they need to hit the gears once again. Their recent form has been a bit of a worry, but with Patrick Bamford back in training, they can expect to go full throttle once again.

Marsch is yet to pick up a win away from home, so this is one area Leeds need to sort out.

They picked up just one point away from Elland Road this season, having suffered defeats against Brentford and Brighton and only managed a draw against Southampton.

After a strong start to the season, they have slowed down a bit. They were pretty flat against Villa, and need to raise their game against Palace.

The Eagles have also failed to win their last four games in the Premier League and lost their previous home game against Chelsea.
