Stan Collymore predicts Leeds United vs Liverpool result in Premier League clash
Stan Collymore has backed Liverpool to beat Leeds United 3-1 when the two sides meet at Elland Road on Monday evening.
Jurgen Klopp’s men head to West Yorkshire with Europe in their sights and looking to build off of their impressive performance against Arsenal last weekend (9 April).
Conversely, Javi Gracia will be hoping for a reaction from his team after Leeds’ second-half capitulation against Crystal Palace on the same day.

Writing in his Sunday People Column, Collymore has backed his former side to secure a relatively easy win at Elland Road on Monday night (17 April).
“Liverpool will know they are in a real good scrap for Europe and that they have to keep winning games,” said the outspoken pundit (pg 54, 16 April).
Daunting
This is a daunting task for Gracia and his side. Liverpool’s squad is designed to punish teams on the counterattack and if Leeds show a similar lack of discipline to last time out, then they could be in serious trouble. Gracia has to ensure his team are more resolute and defensively sound.
Against Palace, Leeds were far too gung-ho in their attempts to get back into the game. When they went 2-1 down – after a good first-half performance – they should’ve looked to ride the wave of pressure from the away team.

Instead, the Whites looked to immediately level the scores which ultimately allowed Michael Olise to run riot on the break.
With Everton, Leicester and Southampton all losing this weekend, there’s a genuine opportunity for Leeds to extend the gap between themselves and the bottom three on Monday.
Considering the quality of Liverpool’s squad, a draw would be a superb result and an outcome the whole of Elland Road would take before kick-off.
In other Leeds United news, a months-long Whites transfer pursuit has now intensified for a sought-after Premier League prospect.
