Stan Collymore compares Leeds United to famously unreliable car
Stan Collymore has compared Leeds United to a Robin Reliant while hailing the Whites as the most fun team to watch in the Premier League.
Leeds’ defence hasn’t exactly been watertight this season with Marcelo Bielsa’s side conceding 33 goals in 17 games, the second-worst record in the division.
The former Liverpool striker did praise the Whites’ attack before comparing the defence to the famously poorly constructed three-wheel vehicle.
When asked on Twitter which Premier League team is the most fun to watch, Collymore said, “Leeds United.
“A Bugatti Veyron going forward, a Robin Reliant going back.”
In all honesty, this is a pretty fair comparison to make as our attack can be absolutely unstoppable at times and we have outscored Manchester City and Arsenal this season.
Leeds are often criticised for the fast and loose defending that Bielsa’s football can sometimes promote.
But there is no denying that we are the most fun team to watch in the Premier League this season.
Yes, it can be frustrating when we are scoring plenty but also conceding cheap goals, the Fulham game at Elland Road being a prime example.
But this is what we have come to expect under Bielsa and plenty of fans from rival clubs seem to be enjoying some of our games as much as we are.
Comparing our attack to one of the fastest cars ever made is fitting if you watch back over some of the counter-attacking moves we created against Newcastle in late 2020.
The defence needs work however, that is common knowledge.
If Bielsa can stop the defence conceding so many goals while keeping our attackers firing we will become even more of a force in the Premier League.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites failed to announce a new deal that this Elland Road ace has signed.
