RB Salzburg defender Max Wober has been spotted at Elland Road as he prepares to become the first Leeds United signing of the January window.

The Austrian defender has agreed to join the club this month with paperwork just needing to be ironed out before it can become official in West Yorkshire [Fabrizio Romano].

Leeds usually complete the media side of their signings at Elland Road, with the big defender taking his time to entertain fans outside the stadium before going in to complete the final parts of the deal it seems.

Richard Idle shared the image on his personal Twitter account, sending the news to the Square Ball as Leeds fans can prepare for their first new signing of the month.

Wober is in the building and it looks as though Leeds have moved very quickly to get their first deal over the line at the beginning of the January window.

That should leave them with four weeks to target the other areas in their squad that they need, such as a new number nine for the second half of the season and beyond.

Victor Orta is familiar with RB Salzburg having taken Brenden Aaronson and Rasmus Kristensen from the Austrians, with Jesse Marsch also another familiar face at the club.

Players will no doubt find it easy to transition to Leeds knowing that, and Wober should be no different as he gets ready to make a real difference in the Premier League.

Having played left-back for most of the season, the Austrian is usually a central option, but that flexibility is vital in any squad looking to sure things up at the back.

With this news, it will only be a matter of time before that official announcement comes – bring it on.

In other Leeds United news, this star man has been ruled out of the clash v West Ham while another senior ace is still a doubt
