Spotted: Leeds United tear down giant Robin Koch poster amid transfer news
Leeds United have torn down a giant Robin Koch poster at Elland Road after the player joined Eintracht Frankfurt on loan.
As confirmed by the Whites on Thursday (6 July), the centre-back has joined the German club on a temporary basis until the end of the 2023/24 season.
Koch made the move to England from SC Freiburg in the summer of 2020, going on to make 77 appearances in all competitions for Leeds.

His decision to leave has now resulted in Leeds tearing down a giant poster of the player at the club’s stadium, as shared by Tone on Twitter.
Moving on
The Whites have wasted no time at all in moving on from their German centre-back, and their decision is understandable, with no room for sentimentality at Elland Road this summer.

Leeds need players who want to be at the club and fight for immediate promotion back to the Premier League, and Koch isn’t one of them.
He can hardly be blamed for jumping ship after the disaster last season, but his decision to leave so quickly after relegation won’t exactly be welcomed by every Leeds fan.
Supporters will, however, be bracing themselves for plenty of senior exits over the coming months, with plenty of players expected to think like Koch and believe they are capable of playing a higher level of football than the Championship.
The defender himself will have been disappointed with how things went last season, particularly given the club’s shocking defensive record, but he now has a superb chance to put that out of his memory with his loan spell in Germany.
