'Special manager', 'Phenomenal', 'Wow' – These Leeds & Chelsea fans react to 'ridiculous' stats
Leeds United fans know how good their side can be when they’re at their free-flowing best.
Arsenal fans and anyone who watched the first half of the FA Cup clash at the Emirates in January know it too.
But updated stats from the Championship still go way beyond what we were expecting and fans have hailed them as “phenomenal”.
Take a deep breath. Leeds are ranked first for possession, Wins, Shots (& on-target), Chances, Big chances, xG, xGA, Clean sheets, Possession won in final third, Ball recoveries, Crosses, Hit Woodwork, Shots on target, Challenge intensity, Touches in box, Progressive runs, Progressive passes, Smart passes, Through passes, Goals Conceded, Open-play goals conceded, Deep completions and Corners won.
Wow.
Unfortunately, we’re second in the league, which all comes down to two words: Conversion rate.
The stats were posted by the brilliant LUFCDATA Twitter account and really highlight how hard Leeds have crushed the Championship this season.

Leeds fans lined up to comment on the stats and rightly so. If Marcelo Bielsa doesn’t fulfill his dream of taking Leeds up this season it will be an absolute travesty.
Jesus. I didn’t realise it was that obvious!

But it wasn’t just Leeds fans who were impressed. Two Chelsea fans heaped praise on Leeds too, with one saying that “Bielsa is a special manager and you deserve to be in Prem next season.”
Another said, “Good luck to you Leeds, you are a massive club and should be in the premier, miss the Chelsea v Leeds rivalry.”
Now that’s a commendation.
