Leeds United have reportedly not made any contact to sign Real Madrid left-back Miguel Gutierrez this summer.
According to LUFC Fanzone, an established Twitter platform that has broken exclusive stories from the agents of players claims that a source has told them Victor Orta is still to speak to the Spaniard’s representatives.
Leeds are understood to be keen on signing a left-back after letting Leif Davis leave on a permanent deal to Ipswich Town.
Via Twitter, LUFC Fanzone wrote, “A quick line on Miguel Gutierrez, a source close to the player has told LUFCFANZONE:
‘There is yet to be any conversations (with Leeds). If Leeds were interested Victor Orta would call me, but he has not’.”

Gutierrez has been part of the Madrid academy for the last 11 years and has gone on to make a handful of appearances for the senior team as well.
Given Los Blancos’ array of riches, they have a squad of two quality players in each position, leaving the 20-year-old way down in the pecking order.
He’s already managed to register two assists in La Liga despite playing only nine games which suggests that he’s someone who likes to play on the front foot.
At 21, he would not mind sharing playing time with Junior Firpo and he could also be good enough to start the first few games of the new season.
However, there has been no contact thus far and we’re unsure if Leeds are actually interested in signing the young Spaniard.
They need to decide their priorities quickly as time is running out and Jesse Marsch certainly would want a left-back available for selection for the first game of the upcoming season.
