Gabby Agbonlahor has called on Marcelo Bielsa to rotate his Leeds United squad more in the Premier League this season.
The pundit and Whites villain believes that Jack Harrison and Patrick Bamford struggled massively against Brighton, and could do with a rest.
Leeds looked lost at times against the Seagulls and failed to match the intensity they have set in previous games before this season.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Agbonlahor claimed that Bielsa needs to start rotating his squad as his current players are being found out.
“Leeds looked flat, they looked tired,” he said.
“I’ve never seen Bamford and Harrison look so quiet in the game, it looked like they had no energy, and I think that Leeds need to try and rotate their team more.
“Get more players on the fringe and give them more game time because you can’t keep playing the same players over and over again.”
As much as we hate to say it, Agbonlahor is right.
Where we do disagree is some of the players mentioned. Bamford is simply undroppable at Elland Road, and he will continue to lead the line with no questions asked.
Harrison could certainly do with a rest. We were left scratching our heads when it was Raphinha who was taken off for Ian Poveda yesterday, it simply made no sense.
No one was dispossessed more than Harrison in the game with Brighton according to WhoScored, and that continued to highlight his ineffectiveness, as he also missed a clear chance to equalise.
With 10 days until the Newcastle game, we don’t expect many changes, but it is certainly something that Bielsa must consider.
