Graham Smyth shares why Struijk and Rodon had a moan at each other in Bristol City v Leeds United
Leeds United stars Joe Rodon and Pascal Struijk were seen moaning at each other during their goalless draw against Bristol City when both players challenged for the same ball, according to Graham Smyth.
The draw against Bristol City was a case of two points dropped as opposed to one gained for Leeds United with the Whites unable to turn their domination into a win.
Daniel Farke’s side dominated the game with 68 per cent possession and 17 shots but failed to make it count leading to frustration among players.
Rodon and Struijk were two players who were evidently frustrated by the way the game was panning out and were seen having a go at each other.
As mentioned by Smyth, in a story on Yorkshire Evening Post (27 October): “Struijk and Rodon having a moan at one another after going for the same ball at the start of a City attack, but quickly making up with a low hand slap.”
Leeds United are a striker away from promotion
As seen by their performance against Bristol City, Leeds have an abundance of talent in their squad but no one capable of being relied upon to score goals regularly. Willy Gnonto and Joel Piroe are perhaps the Whites’ most reliable sources of goals, however, neither are able to find the net as often as required.
Farkes side currently find themselves six points from league leaders Sunderland having played the same number of games and that gap could widen throughout the season if a clinical striker isn’t brought in.
If Leeds can bring someone in to hit the ground running, performances like this will start turning into wins which at the end of the season, is all that counts.

Piroe is currently the club’s leading scorer having only found the net in four of the 12 games he has featured in.
While players like Gnonto and Piroe will be crucial for the season, a striker would amplify their chances of promotion massively.
