Sky Sports share what Leeds insiders now expect in January as financial ‘wriggle room’ created
Leeds United are preparing for one of their most important January transfer windows in recent times.
A superb run of results has left Daniel Farke’s side six points clear of the Premier League relegation zone, and with a real chance of avoiding an immediate return to the Championship.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin is on red-hot form for Leeds and fired the Whites to a 4-1 win over Crystal Palace last weekend, extending their unbeaten run to four games.
Now, new details on the West Yorkshire side’s spending power in the January window have been revealed, as well as how many incomings are expected at Elland Road.
Leeds PSR limitations revealed ahead of January
Leeds spent over £100m during the summer transfer window, bringing in the likes of Anton Stach, Noah Okafor and Jaka Bijol to aid their survival push.
According to Sky Sports, the Whites have limitations on how much business they can do in January due to profit and sustainability rules (PSR) concerns, which could increase the chance of loans.
However, Leeds were in for Harry Wilson on deadline day, in a move that eventually broke down, showing that they do still have some wiggle room financially.

There is reportedly an expectation around Elland Road that there will be at least one signing in the upcoming window, but the chances of seeing more than two incomings are incredibly slim.
Which positions are Leeds targeting in January?
Sky Sports are also reporting that Leeds want to reinforce their attacking ranks in January, due to recent developments.
Dan James will be out of action for an extended period after picking up a hamstring injury against Manchester City, leaving Farke very short on options out wide.
The Whites could go back in for Wilson, but the Welshman has developed into a key player for Fulham this season, meaning a revival of the move is unlikely.
Nevertheless, Leeds are still eager to bring in a player of Wilson’s profile and will be targeting wingers in January.
Farke’s side are also exploring potential deals for strikers to give them more depth up-front and allow more tactical flexibility.
