Sky Sports share ‘huge’ news on Leeds ace Ampadu after where he’s been spotted
Ethan Ampadu continued to be a core part of the Leeds United squad this season, playing his part in promotion to the Premier League.
The club captain made 29 Championship appearances this term, proving to be a consistent player for Daniel Farke.
However, despite the Whites taking the step up to the top flight, there have still been concerns voiced that the 24-year-old could attract interest during the summer transfer window.

Sky Sports share Ampadu update
The challenge of staying in the Premier League as a newly promoted side is proving to be more difficult year on year, meaning Leeds have a big challenge ahead of them.
Therefore, Farke needs to make sure he retains the core spine of his squad, as well as using the backing from the 49ers to make the right additions ahead of the new campaign.
With Ampadu being captain of the Elland Road outfit, it’s no wonder he is being mooted to catch the eye of other sides who are looking to strengthen.
Furthermore, the Wales international has continued to be called up to his national squad, putting him in the public eye even further.
The Exeter-born player is currently at Wales’ training camp after the Dragons announced that Ampadu and teammate Harry Wilson are now part of the squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
Speaking live from Wales’ training base in Hensol, Geraint Thomas told Sky Sports News (28 May, 1:22pm):
“Harry Wilson and Ethan Ampadu are both back in a huge boost for Wales. Those two are pivotal. Ampadu is a player the Premier League will be seeing great things from next season.”
Both players had been nursing injuries earlier in the season that had kept them out of Wales duty.

Leeds to retain Ampadu
Ampadu is fully deserving of plenty of praise for his performances in West Yorkshire, and if he keeps up his standards in the top flight, he will no doubt gain more admirers.

The 24-year-old is currently under contract until 2027, too, meaning there is no pressure on the Championship champions to sell at this stage.
Instead, Ampadu is expected to be a key part of Farke’s squad again next term, using his previous Premier League experience to help to guide his side to safety.
Getting the opportunities on the international stage is reflective of how well he has been doing with Leeds and he will be hoping to show more of the same standards going forward.
