Sky Sports set to show Leeds United trophy presentation live on Wednesday - report

Leeds United will finally play their final Championship game for the foreseeable future on Wednesday evening when they welcome Charlton Athletic to Elland Road.

The Whites have ended 16 years of pain in West Yorkshire, finally sealing their return to the Premier League after recent wins over Swansea, Barnsley and Derby.

Many believed it would be a tight race for promotion, but Marcelo Bielsa’s men have cruised to the title, holding an eight-point gap to West Brom going into the final round of fixtures.

The only downside to this achievement is the fact that it has been done behind-closed-doors without fans at Elland Road.

So, how will Leeds fans be able to watch their side finally lift the Championship title on Wednesday evening?

The game against Cardiff isn’t on Sky Sports but Leeds Live have reported that they will broadcast live coverage of the ceremony after the West Brom clash with Queens Park Rangers.

LUTV is the only place to watch the game, and they will share coverage of the title-lift after the final round of fixtures.

Season ticket holders were given the choice to watch every game on LUTV in their refund options, and those fans will most likely watch the ceremony on there.

Matchday passes are £10 for those who don’t have subscriptions to that or don’t have Sky Sports – with those who do likely to watch it that way.

It is going to be a crazy night in West Yorkshire as Leeds end their 28-year wait for a league title, and we are bound to see scenes similar to the ones at Elland Road on Friday, and Millenium Square on Sunday.

This news from Sky Sports should help keep some fans at home.
