Sky Sports pundit says what’s ‘shocking’ about Leeds midfielder, predicts scoreline v Hull
David Prutton has tipped midfielder Pablo Hernandez to be the main man for Leeds United when they take on Hull City at the KCOM Stadium on Saturday.
Hernandez, 34, has been back among the goals in his two most recent appearances as he scored the winner against Reading last week before assisting Mateusz Klich’s goal in the 1-0 win at Middlesbrough on Wednesday.
The former Spain international has played a key role in helping Leeds get their automatic promotion bid back on track and Sky Sports pundit Prutton is staggered by how well he plays considering his age.
“I think if the evergreen Pablo Hernandez is the man pulling the strings, [34-years-old], he is a shocking age for a footballer! But he’s doing very, very well indeed,” Prutton said on the Love Sport Radio website when asked about the players to watch out for on Saturday.
Prutton was also asked to predict the scoreline of this weekend’s Yorkshire derby and he sees Leeds continuing their winning streak.
“I see Leeds going there and winning two-nil,” the ex-Leeds player said.
It is hard to see anything but a Leeds win this weekend when you consider the form of both the Whites and the Humberside club.
Hull lost both Jarrod Bowen and Kamil Grosicki in the January transfer window and there once-promising season is now disintegrating into nothing.
Leeds have kept things tight at the back in recent weeks but still need to start taking more of their chances in the attack.
They cannot expect to keep clean sheets in every game and unless they start hitting the back of the net more than once in a game, they are prone to dropping points.
A solid two of three-nil win this weekend would be superb.
In other Leeds United news, it’s been reported why Jean-Kevin Augustin was not on the bench against Middlesbrough.
