Former Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor is going all out to create headlines as he launches his new career as a pundit.

He’s already wound up Leeds fans after declaring Bielsa’s side “a myth” earlier this week.

And he might be tough to avoid on Friday – he’s covering the game for Sky Sports and promised to deliver “loads of biased views”.

Between this and BT Sport charging £14.95 for the game, BBC Radio Leeds might be set for a new influx of listeners on Friday.

He’s been getting pelters from the Leeds fans all week and Villa podcaster Ty Bracey said he thought “Twitter is going to be a war zone on Friday I can just feel it.”

Agbonlahor replied saying, “I need a Villa win or I’m deactivating.”

War of the words

The Leeds United players don’t need motivating to get themselves up for a Premier League game, but getting Agbonlahor off Twitter would be a huge bonus on Friday night.

To be fair, he’s doing pretty well at stirring the pot and making the headlines.

And lots of Leeds fans are biting. The game on Friday should actually be a fascinating tussle.

Who would have thought that Leeds would be travelling to Villa Park to face the in-form team in the Premier League?

And Leeds go there with huge injury problems, with Kalvin Phillips and Diego Llorente out, and Liam Cooper a big doubt.

Pascal Struijk is set to replace Phillips and we’re hoping Cooper is fit so Bielsa doesn’t have to perform major surgery at the back.

Villa can’t keep winning, though. They might have added Ollie Watkins but they haven’t turned from relegation fodder to Premier League winners overnight.

If Leeds win, we predict Agbonlahor may well have to deactivate his Twitter account for the week. And Villa will take our side lightly at their peril.
