Sky Sports presenter predicts Leeds United v Plymouth outcome after what he’s told
David Prutton has predicted a win for Leeds United when they host Plymouth at Elland Road on Saturday, 2 November.
Leeds will be hoping to close the gap on league leaders Sunderland with a win at Plymouth although they would need a favour from QPR to do so.
But former Leeds midfielder Prutton, now a prominent Sky Sports presenter and pundit, thinks Leeds will at least do their bit.
In the latest Championship Prediction Podcast (31 October), host Simeon Gholam said: “Plymouth have won just one of their last 20 league visits to Elland Road.”
That aided Prutton’s prediction who replied “Leeds 2-0 Plymouth” when asked for his thoughts.
Leeds United cannot afford to drop points
Leeds already sit five points away from the top of the Championship after dropping points against Bristol City and they simply can’t afford to do it again against Plymouth.
Failure to win could widen the gap from Sunderland to eight points with the Black Cats showing no signs of slowing down and, while the season is still young, it is vital that Leeds keep intact at the top.
Daniel Farke’s side have showcased their credentials to fight for the title this season with key players such as Willy Gnonto and Junior Firpo shining since the opening day but that form needs to remain consistent.

January will provide a great opportunity for the Whites to strengthen their squad although any potential impact from that becomes redundant if Leeds fall too far behind the leading pack.
If Farke’s side are to achieve promotion, home encounters against the likes of Plymouth are must-win games.
