Sky Sports journalist shares likelihood of Everton signing Leeds United ace Rodrigo

Sky Sports journalist Alan Myers claims that it is very possible that Everton secure the services of Leeds United attacker Rodrigo this summer.

The Whites attacker has been linked with a move to a number of clubs this summer, including sides in the Middle East.

Post Leeds’ relegation, a number of players have been linked with the exit door and the 32-year-old is certainly among those.

Via Twitter, Myers wrote, “I think loans and free’s will feature without a doubt but depending on who goes will determine who comes, my guess would be Rodrigo to start but let’s see.

“Very possible I would say.”

Need the money

Despite his age, Rodrigo’s still one of the top assets for the Whites and they cannot let him leave on the cheap.

He may want to leave, but even post relegation, every player has their price at Elland Road.

If clubs in the Middle East are offering more money to Leeds, they will be more inclined to negotiate with them.

Everton are in a financial mess and that’s been well documented so the best they can do it seems is a loan with an obligation to buy.

That deal clearly does not work for Leeds as they need the money right away in order to plan for the window ahead.

Hopefully, a resolution can be reached quickly as it’s evident that the Whites are resigned to losing him.

The least they can do is at least make something from his sale and put this saga to an end.

In other Leeds United news, the club have been handed a boost to sign a Manchester United player this summer with Erik ten Hag likely to sanction his exit.
