Sky Sports journalist shares if Leeds United ace Willy Gnonto set to be next Everton signing
Alan Myers has issued an update as Everton want secure the services of Leeds United attacker Wilfried Gnonto this summer.
The Sky Sports journalist wrote on Twitter [15 July] that the Italian is not likely to be the next one through the door at the Merseyside club.
While there is interest in securing the 19-year-old’s services, it is not as advanced that he’s set to become their next signing.
Myers wrote, “I don’t believe he will be the next signing through the door let’s put it that way.”
Must keep him
Gnonto moving to Everton will see him fighting another relegation battle and he certainly deserves more than that.
At Leeds, he’ll be a regular starter in a side that will dominate most games and he’ll have plenty of chances to get good goal-scoring numbers.
This can give him his confidence back after what was a tricky first season in England at Elland Road where he struggled to make a mark.

Leeds fans are aware of his quality and if he works on his decision making, he can easily get 30 G+A in the Championship next season.
Not only will that give him the confidence to thrive, but it will put him back in the reckoning for the national team and perhaps a move to an elite club if he wants tat.
It remains to be seen what he decides to do as it’s too early to give on succeeding at Elland Road for the teenager.
In other Leeds United news, the club have been handed a boost to sign a Manchester United player this summer with Erik ten Hag likely to sanction his exit.
