Sky Sports journalist rubbishes Raphinha-Leeds United update amid Bayern Munich links
Florian Plettenberg has claimed that Leeds United attacker Raphinha will definitely not be moving to Bayern Munich this summer.
This comes after Brazilian media outlet UOL claimed that Bayern had made a concrete enquiry into signing him this summer.
Raphinha does want his release clause reduced, and despite that, a move to the Allianz Arena is not on the cards.
Via his personal Twitter account, the Sky Sports journalist wrote, “Update #Raphinha: Been told again that he definitely won’t move to #FCBayern! No topic but great player.”
One down, two to go?
While Bayern may not be in the hunt to sign him, two other European heavyweights certainly are.
Barcelona and Liverpool are both showing a solid interest in signing the 24-year-old this summer.
Both clubs are on a high in terms of their own standards and a player like Raphinha is the calibre of signing they’re looking to make.
While he may not be a first-team regular at Liverpool, he certainly will at Barcelona.
Given the current crop of the Nou Camp players, the Brazilian may just be their best attacker.

He’s already used to the pace and physicality of the Premier League, so the Spanish game, which is slower and more technical will certainly suit him.
Whether or not they come in with a significant offer, remains to be seen.
As things stand, he is a Leeds player and there is an offer on the table for him.
Whether or not he decides to sign it, remains to be seen, but hopefully, he should so that the Whites are protected in the transfer market.
