Sky Sports host predicts shock winner in Leeds United clash v Ipswich Town
Leeds United will suffer an unexpected defeat this weekend as they take on Ipswich Town away from home, according to David Prutton.
The Sky Sports host claimed (24 August) that Daniel Farke’s side would succumb to a “narrow home win” at Portman Road Stadium following Ipswich’s faultless start to the season.
With the Tractor Boys at the top of the Championship after three games, Prutton has backed them to keep the momentum at the expense of Farke’s side who are desperately seeking their first league win of the season.

On Sky Sports, Prutton predicted: “[Ipswich are] top of the league! At least heading into the weekend, Ipswich have enjoyed a perfect start to the campaign. They have shown they belong in the Championship, and this is a chance to lay down an early marker.
“Leeds battled to a point against West Brom last week, and were very unfortunate in how they fell behind. Credit to them, but the closure of the transfer window cannot come soon enough for Daniel Farke. I’m backing a narrow home win here.”
Shock
While on paper Leeds look like a shoo-in for the three points, Ipswich’s excellent start to their Championship campaign has proved them to be a dangerous side.
They’ve beaten Sunderland, QPR and Stoke City in the league while knocking out Bristol Rovers in the EFL Cup and have conceded just one goal in the process.
Farke’s men are going to be up against a solid defence and a lethal attack and could be lucky to come out of the game with anything.

However, the German will be keen to take all three points back to Elland Road as two points from three matches is far below expectations.
Prutton’s prediction feels all the more surprising as Ipswich were only promoted this season back up to the top flight after a second-place League One finish last season.
Football can change very quickly. Just months ago Leeds United were a Premier League side and Ipswich League One, but the Whites now look to be something of an underdog heading into this important clash.
In other Leeds news, the Whites are readying an approach for an out-of-favour Stoke City defender.
