“Luton are pushing to sign Cody Drameh on a permanent deal,” according to Sky Sports. “The defender spent the second half of the season on loan at Luton, helping them to promotion to the Premier League for the first time.

“Drameh is entering the last year of his contract with Leeds and is thought to be keen to make the step up to the Premier League, rather than remain with his parent club, who have been relegated back to the Championship.”

Decision made

It seems that Drameh has made his mind up on where he wants to play his football next season, but Leeds will undoubtedly want to keep the exciting youngster at Elland Road given how much he has progressed in recent times.

Hopefully though, given what has happened with the two clubs, the Whites make the right choice and allow Drameh to fulfil his potential in the Premier League.

It’s definitely the right choice for the youngster to make, having already tested the waters in the Championship.

Luton are undoubtedly eager to make the move permanent after his superb displays helped them reach the Premier League, so it seems an Elland Road exit really is the best outcome here.

The young defender really hit the ground running at his temporary club, becoming an instant hit with his teammates, coaches and fans, with Luton very keen on continuing those relationships next season.

In other Leeds United news, Chelsea have mocked the Whites after they were relegated from the Premier League on the final day of the 2022/23 season.
