Leeds United have been mentioned by Simon Jordan live on air in a new admission about Crystal Palace's current fight against relegation in the Premier League.

Palace fans have been vocal in recent weeks over their unhappiness with the direction of the club under Steve Parish's ownership and Roy Hodgson's management currently, complaining that they are just standing still in England's top flight.

talkSPORT pundit and former Palace owner Jordan has admitted that he understands supporter's unhappiness, he has encouraged supporters to look at Leeds' current situation of just how bad things could be at Selhurst Park.

Speaking on talkSPORT on Thursday (8 February, 10:08) he said: "Leeds United with great financing. They got relegated from the Premier League after two seasons after spending 17 years out of it.

"While I don’t think you should look at others and say, I should be grateful for what I haven’t got, the point is, Palace fans have got to get a tad more appreciative of what others like me and my predecessor Ron Noades would have wanted to achieve and couldn’t."

Leeds United destined for the Premier League despite Crystal Palace comparison

Leeds United were incredibly disappointing in the Premier League last season, but after having their squad pulled apart during the summer transfer window, Daniel Farke has managed to build a squad more than able to win promotion to the Premier League.

While Palace may be in a better place currently in terms of league position, the Whites are heading in a better direction and should they continue in this manner, they could well leapfrog the Eagles in the coming years.

Daniel Farke has been widely praised for his work with Leeds United at Elland Road

Farke has built a side with attacking talent that has caught the eye of teams in the Premier League such as Joel Piroe and more recently Crysencio Summerville. Leeds may not have cracked the top flight yet, but this current side may be ready to.

Palace fans may need to take their current form with a pinch of salt, but they shouldn't be looking to Elland Road for a morale boost at the moment.
