Simon Jordan makes brand new Leeds United prediction after Elland Road scenes

Simon Jordan has lauded the atmosphere at Elland Road as Leeds United completed a dramatic comeback against Leicester City on Friday 23 February.

Even after Wout Faes’ opening goal for the Foxes after 15 minutes, the Elland Road faithful were backing their team right until the end, with Connor Roberts, Archie Gray and Patrick Bamford sealing the win.

The Whites fans played their vital part in the edge-of-your-seat turnaround on Friday night, with Leeds closing the gap on the league leaders to just six points.

Speaking live via talkSPORT on Monday (26 February, 11:40am), Jordan said: “I think Leeds will go up, and I do think the atmosphere at Elland Road is remarkable; I’ve always felt that. One of the most intimidating and inspiring atmospheres is at Elland Road.

“While I forecasted that Leicester would beat them, it was a great result for Leeds.”

Leeds United substitutes deliver in must-win Championship clash

Daniel Farke deserves his plaudits for making the correct substitutions against the Foxes, with all three of Roberts, Bamford and Dan James registering goal involvements as Leeds scored three times in the final 10 minutes.

Weeks ago, the possibility of finishing top of the Championship looked to need a miracle. However, after an incredible run of form from Leeds, the gap has been cut to just six points.

Ipswich were also running away with Leicester, but the Tractor Boys have also slipped down the table, beneath the Whites on goal difference and only five points above Southampton.

The last thing that fans want is the stress of the playoffs, especially when automatic promotion is now Leeds’ to lose, but Farke’s previous experience with Norwich City looks to be shining through.

The Championship title race has been blown wide open, with Leeds the main reason for the increased drama in the run-in to the end of the season.
