Simon Jordan fumes over ‘ridiculous’ issue Leeds now face after promotion
Leeds United face a vital summer ahead as they prepare for life in next season’s Premier League.
The Elland Road club enjoyed a stellar Championship campaign, winning 100 points and pipping Burnley to the title thanks to their superior goal difference.
However, Leeds must look to the transfer market for squad reinforcements to achieve Premier League survival.
Daniel Farke’s men have set their sights on Bournemouth right-back Max Aarons, who is currently on loan with Valencia and played under the Whites boss at Norwich.

Simon Jordan furious with financial regulations as Leeds win promotion
While the West Yorkshire giants must have a busy transfer window, they must also comply with the profit and sustainability rules set by the Premier League.
Writing in the Daily Mail [8 May, pg 67], Simon Jordan said: “They will be slightly kneecapped by profit and sustainability rules and the ridiculous and inherent unfairness of having to carry Championship financial governance into the Premier League.”
The Whites proved they are worthy of a spot in next season’s top-flight by winning their last six second-tier games, including a 4-0 win over Bristol City, who face Sheffield United in the playoffs on Thursday.

Leeds United must recruit a striker this summer
As Leeds look to survive in the Premier League next season, Farke must utilise the transfer window to bolster his squad in all areas.
The Whites are keen on signing River Plate goalkeeper Conan Ledesma, while Illan Meslier could be set for the exit door after being dropped in favour of Karl Darlow in the closing stages of the Championship campaign.
But while recruitment in all areas of the pitch could be crucial, the Elland Road outfit should be particularly keen to land a new striker this summer.
Joel Piroe finished the Championship season as the second tier’s top scorer, but he arguably operates more effectively as an attacking midfielder and doesn’t boast any Premier League experience.
Meanwhile, Leeds have been linked with a move for Jamie Vardy, who has announced he is leaving Leicester and will be available on a free transfer.
Acquiring the services of the former England international could be a wise move for Farke’s men, as they look to add Premier League nous to their squad while also complying with financial regulations.
