Simon Jordan: Leeds United need much bigger squad to push for European football next season
Simon Jordan has insisted that Leeds United need a much bigger squad to challenge for European football in the Premier League.
Jim White shared just before that Andrea Radrizzani is plotting a serious charge for the top six next season.
Jordan admitted that if Leeds wanted European football, they would never have run the risk of a small squad with all these injuries.

Speaking live on talkSPORT on Thursday morning (10 February), Jordan responded to those claims.
“What they line up for, and what they aspire to and what they get will be two different things, and the bottom line is Leeds United would never have expected to have found themselves languishing in the bottom half of the table the way they have for most of this season,” he said.
“Granted, with a vast depletion for their squad. If they’ve got a vast depletion of their squad, surely they should have been able to buy people to be able to supplement some of the necessities they have.
“Because, if they’re reducing their squad by Patrick Bamford being injured, the boy that West Ham tried to sign laughably, then they should have had enough of a squad to cater for that because if they’re going to launch a campaign for Europe, by god, they’re going to need a bigger squad.”

Truth hurts.
We can all complain about Jordan and his view, but sometimes, you have to sit back and agree when the point is right.
Injuries have savaged this squad, but that has happened in every single season under Marcelo Bielsa, and yet our depth has never been impressive.
With more signings in the summer and in January just gone, Leeds would have been much better prepared for this push up the table.
That can still happen next season, and our injury woes during this campaign can act as proof to Radrizzani that he needs to open the chequebook again.
Who knows? The 49ers Enterprises may be the majority shareholder at that time, and it will be up to them to fund this huge push.
Radrizzani is an open book, he has made this goal very clear, so everyone at the 49ers will know that too, and now it is up to everyone to make it happen.
