Simon Jordan brutally mocks Leeds star live on air, he claims he cost them vs Bournemouth
Leeds were left ruing a late collapse in concentration after conceding a 93rd-minute equaliser to draw 2-2 with Bournemouth.
Daniel Farke’s side had earned a 2-1 lead through Joe Rodon and Sean Longstaff goals, but they dropped two points after Eli Kroupi scored deep into stoppage time.
That late hammer blow took the gloss off a fantastic performance in which Leeds were ‘a level above’ Bournemouth for long periods of the game.
Leeds are in 11th place with eight points from their first six games, but they could have been cemented in the top half if they’d held on for another minute or so.

Simon Jordan slams Dominic Calvert-Lewin for missed chances against Bournemouth
Farke will be disappointed with the manner of Bournemouth’s equaliser after his team had worked so hard to gain the lead.
However, when analysing the game on his TalkSPORT morning show, former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan chose to focus on the chances missed by Dominic Calvert-Lewin during the game.
He said: “If he’d been a bit more clinical on Saturday, then you could have gotten a result and he’s going to be a key compentent, Calvert-Lewin, if he can put his handbag down for once.”
“He missed some sitters, didn’t he? He missed a sitter in the first minute, and he missed a header.”
Jordan has often been critical of the former England striker ever since it emerged he was going to sign for Leeds.
It appears that Calvert-Lewin is yet to win him over despite scoring a fantastic header against Wolves last week.
Leeds can’t become too reliant on Calvert-Lewin for goals
Calvert-Lewin might have had a poor game by his high standards, but Leeds cannot become too reliant on him for goals.
It’s well-known that the former Everton star doesn’t have the best fitness record, and his form had been up and down in his final years on Merseyside.
Farke will therefore be keen to see his midfielders and wingers chipping in with goals. He’ll be delighted that his centre-back Rodon scored from a set piece as well.
Calvert-Lewin’s stats vs Bournemouth
- 3 shots on target
- 12 passes completed
- 5 aerial duels won
- 2 ground duels won
- 5 touches in opposition box
Leeds have been far more productive in attack during the last two games, and that’s not just down to Calvert-Lewin. Instead, it has been a team effort and Farke would surely like it to remain that way.
