Simon Jordan and Jim White share Leeds United relegation verdict in Premier League

Simon Jordan and Jim White have shared their thoughts on Leeds United being relegated from the Premier League, live on talkSPORT today.

As shared on their Twitter account, the duo presented a rather frank verdict on the final three games for the Whites with trouble on the horizon after recent results.

After a manic Monday of Premier League football with Everton and Nottingham Forest securing gains in the table, the challenge to stay in the top flight is now a tougher one for Sam Allardyce’s side.

There was nothing controversial about what was said in the talkSPORT discussion, but instead, it highlighted the extent of the danger facing the Elland Road club.

“Forest did their job last night, Southampton are gone. Leeds’ run-in, irrespective of the Sam (Allardyce) factor, looks like they’ve got real trouble,” stated Jordan.

“Could be Leeds, Could be Leicester,” added White.

“They look at what went on at the Amex thinking now we’re in trouble.”

“It’s difficult to see past them,” was Jordan’s response, in terms of their chances of being relegated. “The pressure on Leicester and Leeds has just ramped up several notches.”

Last chance saloon

From a Leeds perspective, the games last night couldn’t have gone any worse.

The sense of optimism gained from a purposeful second-half showing against Manchester City last Saturday will have been dented by the gap increasing from the teams higher up the table.

Everton holds a two-point advantage whilst it is three for Forest. This weekend could be the last chance to make up ground as any further setback could be fatal.

If either of those two were to win again, it would effectively signal the end of the road unless a significant scalp can be taken against the title contenders.

Another mammoth Premier League weekend is in store, with a rousing atmosphere guaranteed at Elland Road from the supporters to back their team.

Allardyce will need to have his men flying out of the traps to have the best possible chance of staying in the fight to avoid the drop.
