Simon Jordan absolutely destroys Leeds United ace Dan James

Simon Jordan has emptied both barrels on Leeds United forward Dan James for his latest “irresponsible” actions.

The winger found himself sent off a mere 24 minutes into the Whites’ clash against Chelsea (11 May), after a horribly mistimed tackle on Blues midfielder Mateo Kovacic.

Down to ten men for the second game in a row, Jesse Marsch’s side were swept away 3-0, leaving them with a mountain to climb to ensure Premier League safety.

Jordan told talkSPORT via Wales Online: “Dan James’ decision – it’s irresponsible, it’s not a case of… they’ve got to go into these games with blood and thunder. This is what they’ve got.

“Against Brighton on Sunday… this is it. You either want to stay in this Premier League or you don’t and whether Brighton wants this intensity, they are going to have to be at that level.”

He added: “Dan James, who has been a fundamental disappointment all season to Leeds and a waste of money in my view, has left them in a situation in a game which they might not have been expected to get much out of, they might have been able to nick a draw, but has made it virtually impossible for them to do so.

Disgraceful

The actions from James and Luke Ayling in the last two games have been nothing short of a disgrace.

There is playing with fight, desire and passion amid a crunch relegation battle and then there is pure stupidity, and the Whites duo falls into the latter bracket.

You simply can’t afford to continuously make mistakes like that at the top level – especially when you are fighting to stay in the league.

Leeds are very quickly running out of games to spark a comeback which makes this weekend so important.

Despite how bad their form is, Marsch’s side still have a fighter’s chance. Their fate might be out of their own hands, but it is tough to see Burnley beating either Tottenham, Aston Villa and Newcastle in their remaining three games.

All United can do is try to win both of their remaining games which will pile the pressure on Mike Jackson’s Clarets.
