Simon Jordan: 49ers could invest £100million in Leeds United

Simon Jordan has insisted that the 49ers Enterprises may come out swinging and spend over £100million at Leeds United this summer.

The Whites are currently five points clear of the Premier League relegation zone, with their top-flight status crucial to future plans.

Jordan admitted that the change of culture at Elland Road could lead to big spending in the transfer window.

Speaking live on talkSPORT’s White and Jordan this afternoon [26 April], as shared on Twitter, the co-host made the plea.

“A change of culture,” he said. “An American coach, American ownership model going in there as well.

“Maybe they will come out swinging with a £100million net worth of spend and support that observation.

“Because I tell you what, the size and scale of that football club every day in the top half of the league, every day in the top eight of the league.”

Unleashed.

Paraag Marathe will be watching on very closely at matters at Elland Road, with Premier League safety essential.

We are closing in on the time when the 49ers will take on majority ownership of the club from Andrea Radrizzani.

They will have money to burn given their NFL franchise and being in the Championship certainly won’t be in their plans.

Jesse Marsch will likely know that he will be rewarded handsomely in the transfer window and that is desperately needed.

Leeds have everything needed to make it back to the big time, and now it is time for the owners, whoever they may be this summer, to kickstart that happening.

Looking at the squad, it would easily take more than £100million, but should someone such as Raphinha move on, that could go up to £150million.

It sounds extreme, but that is modern-day football, you need to spend the money if you want to get the rewards.
