‘Sick of seeing it’ – Many Leeds fans slam one player who ‘bottles everything’ at HT v Hull
Leeds United may be 1-0 up at the break against Hull City – but that has not stopped some fans from blasting Helder Costa for his first-half performance.
Luke Ayling’s deflected effort from outside the penalty area gave the Whites the lead early on and Pablo Hernandez almost doubled the advantage minutes later when he struck the crossbar.
Leeds were rather comfortable at the KCOM Stadium but Costa, 26, has really failed to impress a section of fans on Twitter for his role in the opening 45 minutes.
Costa’s form has been under scrutiny for a lot of the season with Leeds reportedly set to pay £15million for him in the summer to make his loan move from Wolves a permanent one.
However he hasn’t really provided the goods in terms of goals and assists but his recent performances have definitely started to show some improvement.
It wasn’t his lack of cutting edge that failed to impress Leeds fans this weekend though as many have slammed the one-time Portugal international for his poor control, lack of involvement and his lack of commitment in challenges.
One has urged Costa to “up his game” – something we hope happens in the second half so he can help the Whites seal this victory.
