Sheffield Wednesday star Marvin Johnson shares two-word admission about Leeds United
Sheffield Wednesday star Marvin Johnson has piled the praise on Leeds United ahead of their Championship clash.
The Whites will travel to Hillsborough to take on the Owls on Friday night (8 March) in a match which could have big implications at both ends of the table.
Speaking ahead of the visit of Daniel Farke's side, Johnson has spoken highly of the West Yorkshire outfit.
In an interview via Sheffield Wednesday's Official Website (7 March), Johnson said, "Leeds are a top team, they are fighting for promotion, it’s on Sky at night, all the ingredients are there.
"We need to focus on our jobs, keep on doing what we are doing and the table will take care of itself.”
Daniel Farke and Leeds United must be cautious against Sheffield Wednesday
On paper, Leeds should pick up three points against Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough with relative ease. Unfortunately for the Whites, football is not played on paper, and Farke will be well aware of just how tough Friday night could prove to be.
Johnson is right to suggest that Leeds are a "top team". Farke's side have been in fantastic form as of late, picking up another three points against Stoke City on Tuesday night (5 March) after a 1-0 win at Elland Road.
It was a victory which saw the Whites extend their unbeaten run in the Championship to 11 matches, and they will feel confident of keeping that run going against Sheffield Wednesday.
However, the Owls are fighting for their lives at the bottom end of the table and will be well up for this crunch showdown.
Although they sit 23rd in the table, Johnson and his teammates are in fantastic form having won their last four matches on the bounce, and they will be full of confidence that they can keep that going, even against a "top team" like Leeds.
