Shedload of Leeds fans say the same thing after Phil Hay player claim: ‘100%’, ‘Easy decision’

An abundance of Leeds United fans are in agreement with Phil Hay after journalist picked Stuart Dallas as his Leeds player of the season.

Dallas, 29, has started every single Championship match this term and played in a variety of different positions for the Whites, performing well in each and every one of them and scoring some important goals in the process.

The Northern Ireland international’s improvement under Marcelo Bielsa is arguably the most drastic of any Leeds player as before the Argentine’s arrival, the ex-Brentford player was struggling to get into the Whites’ starting line-up.

But now, Leeds wouldn’t look the same without Dallas featuring in pretty much any position on the team sheet and that is why The Athletic journalist Hay has written a piece to back his decision on why Dallas is the Whites’ player of the season.

Dallas isn’t the only player who is in contention to win Leeds’ player of the season gong with Kalvin Phillips, Luke Ayling, Mateusz Klich and Ben White offering competition to the ‘Cookstown Cafu’.

However based on the replies to Hay’s tweet about Dallas, the majority of Leed supporters are in total agreement that the 29-year-old deserves the award.

Here is a selection of their tweets:

We believe that Dallas does merit winning the award.

Many will make a case for Phillips as he is the best player in the Championship and the only player in the second-tier currently being earmarked for an England call-up by Gareth Southgate.

But there is more to this award than one’s quality.

Dallas has shown everything need to be named as the club’s player of the season and we too agree with Hay.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites may as well wave goodbye to this first-team star if one Premier League club comes calling.
