Sevilla offer two-year contract to Rodrigo as Leeds United exit development emerges
Sevilla have yet to agree personal terms with Leeds United striker Rodrigo Moreno, according to Vamos Mi Sevilla.
According to the report, Rodrigo has been offered a two-year deal by the LaLiga club, who will play in next season’s Champions League after winning the Europa League last term.
However, the forward is said to be holding out for a three-year contract, while the terms of the deal have not been agreed either.

Sevilla remain hopeful a compromise can be reached, especially since former Leeds chief executive Victor Orta has taken on a similar role at Sevilla where he replaced the popular Monchi.
Orta was influential in bringing Rodrigo to Elland Road in August 2020.
Exit inevitable surely
It is hard to imagine a world where Rodrigo Moreno will be lining up in a Leeds United shirt in the Championship next season.
Even if Leeds had pulled off a great escape and staved off the threat of relegation, the lure of playing Champions League football would likely have proven too big to turn.
The sticking point here appears to be about the length of contract and, given he turned 32 in March, it is understandable Sevilla are reticent to commit to a three-year deal.

But you would imagine a compromise can be found, it is extremely unlikely Rodrigo will turn down the opportunity of gracing European football’s biggest stage, especially given the opportunity is unlikely to crop up again.
For Leeds, the focus has to be on sorting out the takeover of the club by 49ers Enterprises, appointing a new manager, and finding a suitable replacement for Rodrigo in the second tier.
In other Leeds United news, a ‘serious contender’ has emerged to be the club’s new boss.
