Scott Parker details Fulham fitness concern over ‘number of players’ ahead of clash v Leeds

Fulham manager Scott Parker seems to have a selection headache ahead of his side’s clash against Leeds United on Saturday.

Speaking ahead of the game, Parker revealed that he has “a number of players” who are being “nursed through certain issues”.

The Fulham manager also has concerns about players who are not yet at peak fitness due to the three-month break in play due to the coronavirus pandemic.

BBC Radio Leeds journalist Adam Pope quoted Parker on his personal Twitter account on Friday.

Leeds had their own issues on Sunday when they lost 2-0 to Cardiff City.

Pablo Hernandez, Barry Douglas, Jean-Kevin Augustin and Adam Forshaw all missed the match for one reason or another but at least Hernandez and Douglas could be back in contention this weekend when Fulham arrive in West Yorkshire.

As for the Cottagers, they lost 2-0 to Brentford last week and were less than impressive.

Parker could just be getting his excuses in early and in fact has a fully fit squad that is ready to play the Yorkshire giants at Elland Road.

However it would not be a shock if he does have certain injuries and unfit players considering the circumstances that are surrounding football – and the entire world – at the moment.

We still think Leeds should have enough about them to win this match.

Fulham have their danger men but Marcelo Bielsa has his own and with Hernandez potentially back in action, it would not be a shock if United return to winning ways.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites will fork out a “significant” sum of money to a Midlands club if they win promotion.
