Scott McTominay reacts to Leeds United star v Sheffield Wednesday

Scott McTominay has sent a message to Largie Ramazani as Leeds United beat Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship.

The Napoli midfielder reacted with a clapping emoji on the Belgian forward’s Instagram post (19 January) after beating the Owls on Sunday.

Danny Rohl’s team were smashed 3-0 on their trip to Elland Road on 19 January, with the 23-year-old scoring in the 88th minute.

McTominay and Ramazani spent time together in the Manchester United academy before the winger’s departure in 2020.

Largie Ramazani influential for Leeds United

The former Almeria attacker has now scored four goals in the Championship as the Whites sit at the top of the table once again.

Daniel Farke is expected by many to take the Peacocks back to the Premier League and is currently on the right course.

Ramazani has found game time hard to come by since returning from injury, but the Belgian forward has finally managed to make an impact off the bench.

Leeds will hope the 23-year-old continues his fine form after scoring and assisting against Wednesday during his short stint as a substitute.

Daniel James and Manor Solomon have been Farke’s go-to wingers in recent matches, and the former Manchester United academy star will need to work hard to get back into the starting side.

Farke will be looking towards players other than Joel Piroe to contribute up front, with the Dutchman being relied upon for goals this season.

Ramazani has made a case to start against Norwich City at home on Wednesday (22 January), but it remains to be seen whether the German manager will pick the 23-year-old.
