Sanchez Watt blown away by Brenden Aaronson in Leeds United win v Plymouth

Sanchez Watt has hailed Brenden Aaronson as a “baller” after he fired Leeds United to a 3-0 win against Plymouth on Saturday afternoon.

The 24-year-old netted the Whites’ third as they returned to winning ways in the Championship at Elland Road on Saturday (2 November).

He was one of the best players on the pitch before being replaced by Mateo Joseph in the 77th minute and former Leeds winger Watt summed up his performance in one word, writing on X: “Baller.”

Brenden Aaronson shines for Leeds United v Plymouth

Aaronson has done well to get the Leeds fans back on his side after his reintegration into the team after his loan at Union Berlin was initially met with disapproval.

It appeared that American had burnt bridges with the Whites faithful after exercising an option to leave the club on loan following their relegation from the Premier League.

However, he has once again established himself as a key player for Daniel Farke as the Yorkshire-based club attempt to claw their way back into the top flight.

The former Red Bull Salzburg man has notably bagged four goals and an assist in 12 Championship appearances this term.

Aaronson’s contributions extend beyond goals and assists as evidenced by his performance against Plymouth when he dropped back to help Ao Tanaka and Joe Rothwell when needed.

There is no doubt that the United States international staying fit and on top of his game will be important to Leeds’ hopes of earning promotion this season.
