Sam Parkin claims 'All-action' 26-year-old makes Leeds 'Better team'
Patrick Bamford coming on to the field against West Brom instantly changed the game for Leeds United.
The 26-year-old celebrated the equaliser after his header was deflected onto Semi Ajayi and into the net. Eddie Nketiah made his second start of the season, and it would turn out to be his final 45 minutes after being recalled.
Sam Parkin has recently claimed that the Whites are much better with Bamford in the side than Nketiah, as proven in the past two outings.
“Leeds are a better team with Patrick Bamford in it,” he said on talkSPORT.
“I’m not saying that Eddie Nketiah’s not going to be a better player than Patrick Bamford, he probably is.”
Parkin went on to admit that Bamford’s style of play fits Leeds much more, as he can cause problems more frequently than when the ball is just in-and-around the box.

“No, not for Leeds at the moment, the way they play, I think they need that focal point. They need the all-action centre forward rather than that goal poacher that Nketiah is.”
It is clear that Leeds are a better side with Bamford in the line-up. That is no insult to Nketiah, as he scored many important goals during his time at the club.
These last two games highlighted how Bamford is better when out of possession, as well as holding up the ball to bring in our midfield runners into the game.
