Sam Allardyce to reveal 'confidential' Leeds United verdict after clash v Tottenham
Sam Allardyce has revealed changes at Leeds United will be announced after the Whites’ final Premier League game against Tottenham.
The Yorkshire side need to beat Spurs and hope Everton and Leicester City both drop points in their respective fixtures against Bournemouth and West Ham.
Talking in his pre-match press conference, Allardyce claimed that information about what is next for Leeds will be aired after the match.
“That’s confidential [what needs to change]. That will be aired after the last game,” he said (Adam Pope, Twitter, 26 May).
Change
We all know lots needs to change at Elland Road moving forward. There were warning signs last season and Andrea Radrizzani and Victor Orta and they haven’t reacted. The Whites are now staring at the prospect of Championship football, just three years after they ended their 16-year exodus from the top flight.

An instant return has to be the goal. Leeds cannot afford to flounder in the second tier – they, more than anyone, know the difficulties of returning to the Premier League. Financially, the club should be in a strong position, particularly with the 49ers set to take control. It’s a move which needs to happen.
Radrizzani’s race is now run. The Italian has other interests; he’s close to completing a takeover of Serie B club Sampdoria. A fresh approach and idea from the top down could well be a good thing. You never know, a return to the Championship could allow Leeds to reset and return to the Premier League in far better shape.
In other Leeds United news, one Whites ace may be the first “high-profile” Elland Road exit this summer, with talks underway and a bid on the cards for the player.
