Sam Allardyce to leave Leeds United

Sam Allardyce is set to leave Leeds United already with a new manager underway at Elland Road, according to Mike McGrath.

The Telegraph journalist has reported that Big Sam will move on after four games in charge of the club, in which he failed to keep them in the Premier League.

Crunch talks were held today (01 June) with Angus Kinnear, but no positive solution was reached with Championship football beckoning at Elland Road.

Allardyce only managed one point from a possible 12 during his four-week tenure of the club, but to be fair to him, he was tasked with the impossible.

New names have already been linked, with Rob Edwards and Regis Le Bris both mentioned by The Sun in a fresh report today with the shortlist ready to go.

Big Decisions.

It looks as though Kinnear is currently holding up the fort single handily right now at Elland Road.

With the Championship season only two months away, there is so much to do for Leeds with a new manager only adding to a very long list.

Players are going to leave and many new signings are going to be needed, with no Victor Orta alongside him and Andrea Radrizzani dragging his name through the mud.

The 49ers Enterprises proposed takeover is not straightforward either so Kinnear will not likely have clarity over what sort of name he can approach with what sort of budget too.

Once that is all done, he should be able to spring into action with the decision to get rid of Allardyce at least done quickly so everything can move on efficiently.

The next decision will be huge, with promotion back to the Premier League desperately needed to get Leeds back on the horse after a couple of simply depressing years.
