Sam Allardyce has already made Sir Alex Ferguson-style move at Leeds United since appointment – Phil Hay
Sam Allardyce has already made a Sir Alex Ferguson-style move since his appointment as Leeds United manager, according to Phil Hay.
The ex-Blackburn Rovers and Bolton Wanderers boss has taken over from Javi Gracia at Elland Road until the end of the season.
And he has already taken a page out of the “Ferguson playbook” in his early stages at the Whites in his early dealings with the media.

“Some of it was just odd, like having a pop at the judiciary for not letting Sammy Lee off jury service,” Hay said on The Athletic’s The Phil Hay Show (18m50s). “I didn’t have time to tweet it out on the concept of percentages and obviously the stuff about Pep.
“I don’t think people should pretend he doesn’t know what he’s doing there. He knows. He said himself after, ‘I’ve given you a headline’. And that’s not accidental, that’s out of the Ferguson playbook I think.”

Rollercoaster ride
Leeds fans have been through plenty this season, with the Whites faithful definitely going through more downs than ups.
They are currently witnessing their team struggle in a tense relegation battle, having already witnessed two managers come and go in the Elland Road dugout.
But this month may just be the biggest rollercoaster that they go on yet, with Big Sam undoubtedly set to provide many moments of laughter and joy in these dark times.
His presence at the club could also help bring plenty of players out of their shells, as well as bringing about some much-needed leaders in the dressing room.
Allardyce has all the experience in the world when it comes to managing teams struggling in the bottom half of the Premier League table, and he will absolutely be using all of that experience – both on the pitch and behind the scenes – to help Leeds stay up for another season.
In other Leeds United news, one Whites ace is reportedly already considering his future at the club after the arrival of Allardyce.
