Russell Martin being pushed towards Leeds United job amid Farke sack latest
Leeds United are looking ahead to life in the Premier League next season, but there is still uncertainty over the managerial situation.
The Whites secured top-flight promotion with a 6-0 victory against Stoke City on Easter Monday and have two games left to battle Burnley for the title.
However, in a week of celebration, headlines have been dominated by questions over the future of Leeds boss Daniel Farke.

Martin update given in Farke choice
Although Farke has achieved his aims of getting Leeds promoted into the Premier League, there have been concerns raised about his previous efforts in the top flight.
Farke has struggled at the top before and, as a result, it has been reported that the 49ers are considering parting ways with the German ahead of the summer.
The potential move has been labelled as harsh, although some argue that it is better to make a change now rather than halfway through the campaign when already in a struggling position.
One man who the Whites have reportedly made contact with is Russell Martin, who has been out of work since being sacked by Southampton earlier in the season.
Martin is seemingly on the radar of a number of sides this summer, including Leicester City and Rangers, but West Yorkshire could be the destination on the cards.
According to Graeme Bailey via EFL Analysis (27 April), the 39-year-old is keen on the job at Elland Road and is being pushed towards the role.

Russell replacement nonsensical for Leeds
The only reason Leeds would be considering firing Farke is because of his failure in the Premier League.
The German has had a strong Championship season with the West Yorkshire outfit and deservedly won promotion, so you can understand the calls labelling this move as being unfair.
Played | Won | Drawn | Lost |
44 | 27 | 13 | 4 |
With that in mind, though, if the 49ers are keen to make a replacement in the summer, surely they would have to go for someone who has proven they do have what it takes to succeed at the top, rather than someone who has shown the complete opposite.
Leeds will be competing for their safety next season and this means that the players and staff need to be a tight-knit group, something that already exists at Elland Road.
The only way to justify the sacking of Farke is to aim higher and Martin is certainly not an indication of doing so, meaning this should be a non-starter for Leeds.
