Royal Antwerp want Dutch star Daley Blind as well as Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich in January
As per HLN, Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich could be part of a Royal Antwerp double swoop in January alongside Dutch defender Daley Blind.
Klich has fallen out of favour under Jesse Marsch at Leeds, and after missing out on Poland’s World Cup squad he seems hell-bent on heading for the exit at Elland Road.
Polish outlet Sportowefakty reported this week that Klich has two options – a move to the MLS or a move to Belgium with Royal Antwerp. They add that a winter move looks likely.

HLN then added that Klich could be part of a double swoop by the Belgian outfit, with Royal Antwerp also targeting Dutch left-back Blind.
“According to Dutch sources, the left back certainly enjoys concrete interest from the Great Old,” reads the report.
“Blind is still under contract in Amsterdam until the end of this season. But since the veteran no longer seems to fit into the plans of trainer Alfred Schreuder, a transfer is certainly negotiable.”
Klich’s contract with Leeds does extend to 2024, but the 32-year-old’s lack of game time in Yorkshire could force him to demand a move away.
He’ll be missed
If Klich is wanting to move elsewhere then no one at Leeds can deny him that. The energetic midfielder has spent a brilliant five years at Elland Road after joining the Whites from FC Twente in 2017.
His impact in the Championship was immense, with Klich one of the first names on the teamsheet under Marcelo Bielsa.

He was brilliantly consistent and always available for the club despite the enormous physical demands placed on the players by Bielsa.
It hasn’t quite worked out for him under Marsch, with the American coach bringing in both Tyler Adams and Marc Roca as regular starters in the summer.
Klich has acted professionally regardless, even after missing out on what is potentially his last chance to play in the World Cup.
Whether he moves to the MLS or to Antwerp, Klich will always remain an adored figure around Elland Road for his contribution to the club – especially during the remarkable promotion season.
