Rory Jennings claim will have Leeds United fans purring – but Man City look away now
Leeds United are recognised as one of the biggest clubs in the country, and rightly so.
With the Whites having a rich history and being the biggest one-club city in England, it’s no wonder that they are held in such high regard.
Whilst Leeds have been tipped to struggle upon their return to the Premier League this season, the Elland Road faithful are forever dreaming of returning to their rightful place of competing in Europe.
It is not just Leeds fans who feel this way about the club, with a high-profile Chelsea supporter recognising the stature of the West Yorkshire outfit.

Leeds labelled as bigger than Manchester City
Jennings has been complimentary of Leeds ahead of the new Premier League campaign, and this praise has continued when the Chelsea supporter ranked the 20 Premier League clubs based on size.
In the video on Jennings’ personal YouTube channel, he ranked Leeds United as the seventh biggest club in the country, ahead of Manchester City in eighth.
Despite all of City’s achievements in recent years under Pep Guardiola, this was not enough to overtake the Yorkshire giants in Jennings’ rankings.
The talkSPORT presenter also acknowledged the fact that Leeds should have been crowned champions of Europe in 1975 after they were robbed against Bayern Munich, before admitting that they could have been ranked even higher up in his list.

Leeds need to leverage their size in the market
With United being the biggest sleeping giant in English football, this is something that the 49ers should be hammering home to potential new signings as they aim to strengthen Farke’s squad.
Whilst the first step for Leeds is to establish themselves in the division, this is not something the supporters will be content with over the long run, with the club expected to regain its position as a team challenging in the upper echelons of the Premier League.
Perhaps this vision could attract players like Bilal El Khannouss to LS11, with the creative 21-year-old perhaps providing the spark that could help Leeds avoid the drop next season.
