Ronaldinho comparisons made by freestyler as footage emerges of Leeds United manager Daniel Farke

Freestyle footballer Daniel Cappellaro has been gushing over Leeds United manager Daniel Farke for what he did in the 3-0 win over Watford.

In an interview with The Athletic’s Phil Hay released on Wednesday, 27 September, Cappellaro likened the German’s technique to that of FC Barcelona and Brazil legend Ronaldinho.

Farke showed off his first touch on the sidelines as he managed to control the ball that was out of play despite it being several feet in the air initially.

The freestyle said, “Some people get a bit touchy about this but I’m not ashamed to say that sometimes what you’re trying needs a few shots. But what Farke’s done there, he’s absolutely killed it. It’s so good.

“Oh, I’ve seen it loads of times. The first thing I thought about when I saw it was this clip of Ronaldinho playing for Flamengo, where he brings the ball down on his toe and kills it dead in the same sort of way; just the most incredible touch. That’s what came to mind.”

Stunning

Farke appears to have better close control and first touch than many professional footballers out there.

Sure, the pressure wasn’t on him to nail that touch but he’s also not been training for several years at the highest level.

He’ll certainly have been proud of it and so were the fans and coaches that were around him to witness this live.

The German will also equally be happy with the performances shown by his Leeds players in the past few weeks after a tricky start.

New signings Ethan Empadu and Joel Piroe have fit in perfectly, Georginio Rutter finally seems to be finding his groove while Glen Kamara and Joe Rodon are also looking like good acquisitions.

It remains to be seen if the Whites can keep up the momentum and end the season in the top two to secure automatic promotion.

In other Leeds United news, Phil Hay claims that big European clubs have been keeping tabs on a Whites player for a while and are still willing to sign him.
