Rodrigo now injury doubt for Leeds United v Wolves - Adam Pope

Leeds United attacker Rodrigo is now an injury doubt for the Premier League clash against Wolves on Friday.

BBC reporter Adam Pope has shared that the Spaniard was taken off against Norwich with a tight quad muscle yesterday (13 March).

Rodrigo has now been classed as a doubt, despite the injury not being described as “Serious” at Elland Road.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Pope shared the latest on the attacker after the big win over the Canaries.

“Marsch says the performance was so much closer to what he is trying to implement,” he wrote. “The quality of people he says is amazing.

“Bamford ok for Friday but Rodrigo may be a doubt but it doesn’t seem serious. Says he’ll take this classic Elland Rd moment to his death bed.”

Doubt?

Well, this could be a big blow for the Whites.

Albeit against Norwich, Rodrigo looked far more at home in the final third with a target man such as Patrick Bamford alongside him.

If we can get that partnership firing, we may be waving goodbyes to any relegation worry sooner rather than later.

The Spaniard returning to form with a goal and then picking up an injury keeping him out would be typical, and not what he deserves.

Jesse Marsch will want his main attacker, who is part of his new leadership group, to be fit and firing for the rest of the season.

Fingers crossed he recovers in time and is ready to go again at Molineux.
