Robin Koch posts Twitter message that Leeds fans will love
Robin Koch has sent Leeds United fans a Twitter message that will get the blood racing after Marcelo Bielsa confirmed the centre-back would be back within a week.
In his pre-match press conference, Bielsa said that fans could expect to see Koch back in the first week of March.
He also said, “I hope he will be back with the same type of power and performances prior to his injury.”
Following this exciting news, Koch posted a Twitter message that said, “Can’t wait to be back at Elland Road.”
The message was accompanied by images of Koch around the Leeds stadium.
When will Koch be back?
The match after the Aston Villa clash is against West Ham on Monday, March 8.
That will likely come too soon for Koch and we’re expecting him to come back slowly via the Under-23s first.
After West Ham, it’s Chelsea on March 13 and Fulham on March 19.
The Leeds Under-23s fixtures don’t play out that kindly for Koch. They play on March 1 (Crystal Palace), March 15 (Newcastle) and March 22 (West Brom). Koch could get minutes in the Newcastle and West Brom games.
That would see him play in the first-team home game against Sheffield United on April 3.
After Bielsa’s message, that might be a little frustrating but he’s been out a long time and we don’t want to rush him back.
There’s an outside chance that he could make the Fulham game (March 19), but if Liam Cooper, Pascal Struijk and Diego Llorente all stay fit, and Kalvin Phillips is back, there would be no need to fast-track Koch.
