Robin Koch bidding war on cards at Leeds United amid Sky Sports Premier League update
We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United…
Paul Robinson believes Robin Koch will have plenty of suitors after the Leeds United defender was linked with a move away from West Yorkshire.
According to Sky Sports (21 June), an unnamed Premier League club are now in pole position to sign the 26-year-old centre-back.
Robinson feels the board will be able to muster a “sensible price” for the defender who made 36 Premier League appearances last season.

“It’s not take what you’re given for Koch, it depends who comes to the shop to buy. Football players are like property, if they’re wanted by more than one person, their price will go up,” Robinson exclusively told MOT Leeds News.
“If you are in a bidding war for something the price will go up. He’s worth what someone is willing to pay. If there’s nobody or just one buyer then the price is set. If two or three buyers emerge, the price will inflate.

“You look at the price Manchester City have had to pay for players over the years. Certainly, they’ve got value for money, but if it wasn’t Manchester City coming for players they would have had to pay inflated fees.
“I think that’s relevant in football. Robin Koch will have a few suitors. There will be people looking at him. I think they’ll get a sensible price.”
